Antique 14ct Gold and Crystal Earrings

£395.00

These antique 14ct gold earrings are a lovely example of early 20th-century Russian craftsmanship. Stamped with the 858 zolotnik mark and a maker’s mark in Cyrillic script, they date to the late Imperial period, when Russian jewellers often paired warm gold with cooler, silver-toned settings for contrast.

Each earring is shaped as a small domed flower, the gold worked into softly raised, pierced petals that give the design a light, open feel. At the centre sits a bright white stone in a silver-toned bezel, adding a clean sparkle against the gold. The hinged earwires - simple, practical, and typical of the era - complete the design.

Their mix of warm gold and cool white-gold tones makes these earrings wonderfully easy to wear today. They pair just as well with yellow-gold pieces as they do with white gold or silver, allowing them to slip seamlessly into a modern jewellery wardrobe.

Charming, wearable, and full of quiet character, these earrings offer a glimpse into the elegant everyday jewellery of pre-Revolution Russia.
